Born in Santa Clara, Cuba in 1960 to parents of Spanish and Cuban heritage, emigrated to the United States in 1966 and lived in Michigan since 1969, where I founded my studio in 1981 to the current day. Every item is made from the finest quality kiln dried hardwoods available in Michigan and I personally inspect and select each and every plank before hand creating high performance and long lasting products people love to own and use. Small items are made from one individual plank of wood for excellent figure and color match and my cutting boards feature specially made rubber feet that provide extraordinary non-skid grip, a large part of what gives my cutting boards such superior and safe performance characteristics.
